Raising Hope
As a professional and productive member of the community, Melinda Serra has spent over 15 years, as part of the Harvesters, helping the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County raise funds to help eliminate hunger.

The Harvesters, which is a group of hardworking women with a shared vision of eliminating hunger in Orange County, is dedicated to raising funds to feed nearly 400,000 people in our community who face the threat of going to bed hungry. Seniors who face the hard choice of food or medicine, the working poor and children whose only meal available they get at school - 100% of the Harvesters underwriting dollars go to the Second Harvest Food Bank. The monies raised go to the food bank to help their mission to eliminate hunger, and raise awareness.

All Things Home
With dedication to design and all things ‘home’, it’s only natural that Melinda Serra worked on or chaired the Corona del Mar Middle and High School Home Tour committee for nearly a decade. This is the PTA’s only fundraiser for the CdM High School and the money raised from this event are used for important school needs; school equipment, technology, books, programs, and counselors used by the students.

“Working with community leaders, businesses and amazingly gracious home owners who volunteer their home, dedicating their time and donating money for this much anticipated home tour, is uplifting and humbling. The experience and the process of working with so many amazing members of the community, help make this a fun and inspiring event a success.”

Melinda was awarded the PTA’s highest award, a prestigious honor for volunteering, outstanding service and dedication to the school and children.
